Pizza Pockets

These 5 ingredients pizza pockets are bound to revolutionise your lunch times! Made using a simple dough of flour, yogurt and herbs, these pizza pockets are a really simple recipe to make with your kids as a fun introduction to cooking with dough too.

  • 120g Self Raising Flour
  • 120ml (1/2 cup) Natural or Greek Yogurt
  • 1tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Tomato puree
  • Cheddar, grated

Suggested other fillings:

  • Mushrooms
  • Pepperoni
  • Chorizo
  • Peppers
  • Ham
  • Pineapple
  1. Mix the yogurt, flour and herbs together to get a slightly sticky dough. Sprinkle more flour on a surface and lightly knead- your dough should not be too wet, but not too dry either. Divide into 4.
  2. Flatten/roll the dough into circles about 0.5cm thick. Spread the some tomato puree thinly on the top of each circle, then heap soem grated cheese and any other fillings in the middle generously.
  3. Fold the sides of the dough up into the centre, to cover the filling.  Pinch the sides together so the filling is completely enclosed, and then lightly flatten so they resemble a flat disk.
  4. Spray an airfryer with oil. Place your pizza pockets inside and lightly spray the tops. Cook at 180C for 10-12 minutes or until golden. The middle will be very hot so allow to cool slightly before eating.

Additional Information

These lend themselves well to batch cooking and keeping in the fridge for up to 3 days, and quickly reheating in the airfryer/oven when needed.
